We invite you to partner with us to improve lives and strengthen our community! Join the Challenge and participate in one or all of the following three (3) ways:
1. Sign up for a Volunteer Service Project
Would you like to send groups from your place of worship out to impact the community during the5 Days of Service, September 7-11? The Columbus Volunteer Challenge website will list a variety of available community service projects and drives for local non-profit organizations and neighborhoods. Visit the website to register a group to volunteer during the days of service or encourage individuals, families or groups within your organization to register for a project on their own. This is a great opportunity for youth groups to get involved. Check out the resources tab for tools and templates to help you promote this opportunity to your members. Project registration will open on Tuesday, July 30 on the website Note: Most nonprofit organizations will only take volunteers that have registered through the Columbus Volunteer Challenge website during this time.
2. Host a Volunteer Project Register your project here today!
Are you in need of volunteers to assist with service projects or help with a collection drive at your place of worship? Does your food pantry need cleaned and reorganized? Could your landscaping use some new mulching? Does your childcare center need painted? Invite community volunteers to serve at your site by registering a project for the 5 Days of Service, September 7-11 on the Columbus Volunteer Challenge website. Once posted on the Columbus Volunteer Challenge website volunteers can sign up to help!
3. Hold a Donation Drive
Hold a collection drive one to two weeks prior to the Columbus Volunteer Challenge 5 Days of Service. Deliver unpackaged items to select drive drop-off locations on Monday, September 10 or host an “Assembly Day” during Family Weekend and invite volunteers to help assemble collected items prior to delivery on Monday, September 10. Critically needed items, instructions, and ideas for kits and packages needed by participating nonprofit organizations will be posted and ready for registration on Tuesday, July 30.
